Hidden Characters

Find out which other characters the same person plays, even with a hidden account.

How it works

  1. Public profile. If the account is visible, tibia.com already lists its characters: those count as confirmed at 100%.
  2. Mutually exclusive schedules. Two characters of the same person are never online at the same time despite heavy play. We measure how often they coincide against what chance would predict.
  3. Handoffs. One logs in right as the other logs out: the signature of someone switching characters.
  4. Circumstantial signals. A similar name in the same world and the same guild add up, but weigh less than schedules.
  5. % together. For each candidate we show how many times and for how many minutes both were online AT THE SAME TIME. 0% across weeks of play points to one person; frequent overlap points to two, unless the sessions start together (multi-client).
  6. Transfers and days off. Two characters that move between the same worlds on the same day, or that vanish on the same days (holidays), add evidence.
  7. Cross deaths. If one killed the other in PvP (deaths we store from every tibia.com profile we read) they are almost surely two people: the % drops to 20 at most.
  8. Level-ups. Our collector sees every online character's level each minute and stores each level-up. Nobody levels one character while playing another: if every level-up happens while the other is offline it adds up; leveling while the other is online means two people (or multi-client).

This is a statistical method, not official proof. It cannot detect someone playing two characters at once (multi-client) or very low-level mules with no history. It improves as the collector accumulates weeks of data.
